Hello! I’m Yoyo. I am currently a first-year PhD student in mathematics at UC Berkeley. Previously, I studied math as an undergrad at Johns Hopkins University before completing the Part III program at the University of Cambridge.

Outside of my academic work, I enjoy maintaining an active musical life as a flutist. During my time at Cambridge, I performed as principal flute with the Cambridge University Orchestra and participated in chamber music through the University’s Instrumental Award Scheme with my woodwind quartet, Senza Corno. As an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins, I performed frequently with the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra and was a winner of the orchestra’s 2022 concerto competition, performing the first movement of Reinecke’s Flute Concerto with the orchestra (recording).

Here is my CV.
